Un-freaking-believable!!!!! This freaking ass clown just got a $63MM raise for doing SHIT. I like to think that John Beck has accomplished the same and maybe even more than this guy. So when you look at Beck's salary, I am starting to think we should realize what a bargain we have in the Stormin Mormon!! HAIL John Beck!!!
The Arizona Cardinals have completed their deal with the Philadelphia Eagles to get quarterback Kevin Kolb, sources told ESPN.com senior NFL writer John Clayton.
Kolb will get a new contract extension of five years for $63 million, with a little more than $22 million guaranteed. Kolb will be under contract for six years.
The Eagles receive cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a second-round pick.
Kolb began last season as the Eagles ' starter but left the first game with a concussion and ending up losing the No. 1 job to Michael Vick, who enjoyed a career resurgence in 2010.
Kolb requested a trade from the Eagles so he can be a starter in the NFL.
Kolb spent his first three seasons as a backup and sometimes wondered if he'd ever get his chance. He stepped in when Donovan McNabb was injured in the 2009 season opener at Carolina. The 2007 second-round draft choice promptly became the first NFL quarterback to throw for 300 yards in his first two starts.
His emergence made McNabb expendable, and the No. 2 overall pick in the 1999 draft was traded to the Washington Redskins for a pair of draft picks.
